An exploration of the exciting possibilities for presenting sound within immersive environments: –from conceptual works of aural art, to generative music and virtual 3D opera.

Presented and performed by Pip Greasley and Dale Corderoy of sonicxploras.

Although sonicxploras have carved out a niche for creating commercially successful soundtracks for fulldome productions, they would like to see a lot more experimentation in both visual and sonic content being embraced by the industry beyond the FD festival event. With a background in electronic opera, interactive arts and ambient trance music, sonicxploras demonstrate through a part live presentation and part performance some of the new conceptual possibilities in soundfield installations and 3D interactive sonic art.
