DREAM TO FLY is a poetic story about the history of aviation. The aim of the film is to present the development of aviation through the ages in an interesting an innovative way. It presents the milestones on our route to conquering the skies – both in terms of technological breakthroughs, as well as our perceptions on flying itself.

Rich fulldome visuals, beautiful music composed for the show and a poetic narration makes this show an exceptional artwork. The message to the viewers is to be open to new ideas and to pursue our dreams.

The Producers

The Heavens of Copernicus

The Heavens of Copernicus Planetarium is one of the most state-of-the-art 3D stereo planetariums in the world.

It is part of the Copernicus Science Centre, one of the largest institutions of its type in Central and Eastern Europe.

The planetarium has its own graphic production studio gaining its reputation among the planetarium community. The production team consists of five digital artists and a producer, supported by the staff of both the Planetarium and Science Centre.

Paulina Majda

She graduated from the Polish Film School in Lodz. After her studies she continued her education in the Danish Animation Workshop in Viborg. Since then she has been involved in many animation film productions as director and art director. Among them is the Oscar - winning movie “Peter and The Wolf” (dir. Suzie Templeton). Her debut animation film “Two Steps Behind” took part in animation film festivals worldwide and won an award for the best movie at Cutout Fest in Mexico. At Copernicus Science Centre she directed the prize-winning Fulldome animation, “Dream To Fly”.

Paulina Majda is a double scholarship holder of the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

Fulldome UK 2014

Fulldome UK returns to the National Space Centre, Leicester on the 7-8 November 2014 for two days of inspirational immersive screenings in the UK's largest digital dome. The internationally renowned festival will feature the very best 360 films, live VJ performances and radical debates on the future of immersive experiences.
